Museum of European Photography
Large scale immersive sculptural piece built to house and showcase work by artist JR in a small museum located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. Exterior made of 30,000+ milled pieces of salvaged wood, all milled onsite. Interior made of reclaimed zinc panels, salvaged from discarded roofing parts. Interior housed a looping toy train pasted with JR’s work, porthole lighting and a central chimney unit made to look like the chimneys that dot the Parisian landscape; inside each chimney was an iPad that displayed video of the evolution of JR’s work over time.
