Code Named “The Smoke Machine” - An Ephemeral & Immersive Ghost Ship Experience
A glimpse of our cafe bar and water tower lounge as part of the Smoke Machine project. Built out of brownstone doors at the stern of a decommissioned ferry boat. Complete with a cat walk to a water tower lounge, created out of wood salvaged from a sunken steam ship. This finishing project proved to be magical!
Accompanied by many great artists working on their own installations, the ship was built out by a small team, lead by Outlier Productions, LLC and mrs katie lobel. The build crew included Ank Turnbull, Pablo Powers, Jean Barbaris, Jesse Pearlstien, Wilson Keithline, Boxer Fenimore, Takao Ahiraishi, Jp Rogue Pokes, Ryan Cheresson and a few others. Along side Beau Burrows and his team, Dave Rife, Gabe Liberty with Takao Shiraishi, jr, Prune Nourry, Swoon, Oliver Jeffers, Duke Riley, Jon Morris, Serra Victoria Bothwell Fels, Fob Hite, Marc Azouley, Justin Bettman, Connie Hawkaday, Yan Friesh, Robert Montgomery, Vinny Deponto, Jose Parla, Claudia, Ariel Derris, Chicken Hut Crew, Tim Shumacher, Lindsay Arden, sextant works, as well as Austin and Ida Benedetto for overseeing the overall management of the project and three day event.
